Catering can be a painful process. What do you order? How many choices do you provide? There is no right and wrong answer to this conundrum. The trick here is to realise that you cannot please 100% of the people 100% of the time, but you can minimise the risk. Decide on a menu and limit your choices to 2 or 3 options. Remember that the more choices you have, the larger your budget will need to be.
Offer at least one vegetarian choice and advise your guests that should they have specialist needs (i.e. vegan, low fat, food allergies) to contact you prior to the event. Most catering companies will cater for special needs providing they are advised early, and usually at minimal cost to you.
